Beach Volleyball. Join us on the beach for a rowdy game of volleyball. Guaranteed fun for the whole family, and if you get too hot, just take a dip in the ocean and come back to join the game. You couldn’t ask for a better location for a favorite beach past time.
Bike Tour. We’ve mapped three routes to explore—one that highlights the community’s natural settings, a relaxing course for the entire family, and one for the serious biker. Check with an Activities Assistant for bikes and maps. Available as a self-guided or escorted tour upon availability.
Boogie Boarding. Enjoy the surf on the lovely shores of west end Galveston. The best way to truly enjoy the splendor of the beach is to jump right in and ride the waves. We provide the boards, and you have all the fun!
Campfire & S’mores or Roasted Marshmallows. It’s just like being at camp! Sit by the warm fire and enjoy a childhood favorite, s’mores, or skip the mess and just enjoy roasted marshmallows. Centrally located, the campfire is mere steps from the Beach Club, so you won’t waste any time partaking in your favorite vacation activities.
Family Fishing & Crabbing. Learn to cast for crabs or fish in our private lagoons. Prefer to fish at your leisure? Forgot your tackle? Check with an Activities Assistant. Check the calendar for specific dates and time.
Frisbee Golf. It’s golf! It’s Frisbee! It’s both! Enjoy the new-age sport that’s sweeping the nation. It is a great way to get a little exercise while having fun with the whole family. Join us at the Activities lawn for 9 holes of fun!
Hawaiian Foot Races. Ancient Hawaiians used to hold foot races to see which warrior was the fastest. Join us on the beach for forwards, backwards, and 3-legged races that are sure to be enjoyable for participants and spectators alike. Sign up at the Towel room.
Horseshoes and Croquet. These two classic games never lose their flare. Some of America’s favorite beach time activities, they’re sure to keep the whole family full of smiles.
Hula Hoop Contest. It’s all in the hips! The one who can keep there hula hoop up the longest will win a fabulous prize, but all are sure to have a great time.
Hula Skirt Making. Want to learn how to hula? Come and make a skirt, then join us at the Luau on September 2nd for the audience participation portion of the evening.
Ice Cream Sundae Making $3. Beat the heat with this delicious treat! Ice cream with all the fixin’s will be at your fingertips. Make your sundae however you like, then enjoy your cool dessert while you lounge by the pool.
Kids Board Game Party. Kid’s of all ages can come together and make friends over our variety of board games. Even the young at heart will enjoy this favorite past time. Meet at the Sea Mist Room for an afternoon of fun and friend making.
Kids Crafts. Kids of all ages are sure to enjoy the crafts we have lined up for them. From quick and easy to more complex, our variety of crafts will make your artsy side go wild. These crafts will be the perfect addition to any beach house.
Kids Movie & Pizza or Popcorn $3. Kids of all ages will enjoy the atmosphere of the game room while they watch a movie just for them. Guaranteed to be enjoyable for all. Pizza or popcorn and drinks provided.
Kids Pool Games. Bingo anyone? Boogie board races sound like fun? What would a day at the pool be without a few games? Guaranteed fun for all ages.
Lagoon Kayaking. Enjoy the pristine beauty of the unspoiled bay side of the property with this relaxing introductory guide to kayaking. No matter what your skill level, a good time will be had by all. Waivers and safety equipment are required and provided. Appropriate clothes and shoes are advised.
Pass the Coconut. Don’t be the one stuck with the coconut! This game is similar to “Hot Potato.” The coconut is passed in a circle and when the drummers stop drumming the person last holding the coconut leaves the circle. The last person left wins a prize!
Rolling Stones Game. A traditional Hawaiian game similar to horseshoes. Try your luck and see if you can throw the stone closest to the tiki torch.
Root Beer Float Making $3. Enjoy this All-American treat, your way. Whether you like more root beer or copious amounts of ice cream, make your float to your own personal specifications. What a wonderful treat to keep you cool!
Sand Sculpting. You’re no longer limited to just castles. Sculpt whatever you heart desires. Sculptures will be judged on creativity, among other things, and the winner will receive a wonderful prize.
Sea Shell Painting. Join us on the beach for an adventurous sea shell hunt, and then tap into your artistic side by painting them vibrant colors or even polka dots!
Surf & Shells Kids Adventure. If your kids have ever asked where all the shells come from, this is their chance to find out. With the help of an Activities Assistant, they’ll collect shells, learn to identify them, and find out how they come to wash up on our beach.
Treasure Hunt. Avast, mateys! Hoist the Jolly Roger and join our pirate crew in a search for buried treasure. A swashbuckling good time for kids of all ages (parents, too). No one goes home empty-handed. Meet at the towel room or search on your own.
