Happy Holidays from Pointe West! With the cooler days settling in and winter lingering before us, it’s the perfect time to get away from your everyday routine and join the festivities here at Pointe West. New Year’s Eve at Pointe West is becoming more than just a celebration, it’s a tradition!

If you too feel it’s time to put the elegance back in New Year’s Eve, Pointe West has designed the perfect evening for you. Enjoy a delectable dinner at Breezes Restaurant with friends and family. Then grab the crew and head over to our fire pit for a special New Year’s bonfire. Then return to the Beach Club to enjoy the timeless sounds of a vintage Jazz band and enjoy a delicious array of Chef Henry’s special hors d’oeuvres. And finally, top off the start of 2008 by watching the ball drop at Times Square via our big-screen TV, and indulging in a complimentary champagne toast surrounded by those you love. In December, we are also featuring new activities for the kids, including Caramel Apple Decorating and Snowflake Making—two new and exciting crafts that are sure to bring a smile to your child’s face. No matter what your interests this winter, Pointe West aims to please. With the first official day of winter being December 22, make sure you pack your hat and gloves for some good, old-fashioned outdoor fun. A bonfire will start your new year off right, followed by a vintage Jazz band playing at Breezes while you indulge in hors d’oeuvres and your favorite drinks. To top off your night, enjoy a complimentary champagne toast with those you love. Please RSVP by Friday, December 21. Dickens on the Strand
Dickens on The Strand is a wonderful holiday festival that recreates Charles Dickens’ Victorian London in Galveston’s The Strand National Historic Landmark District. The festival provides a close look at the pomp and pageantry of the British Empire. It includes parades and free, non-stop entertainment on the festival’s many stages, plus strolling carol singers and roving street musicians, bagpipers and entertainers. In addition, a vast array of restaurants and shops are joined by over 150 costumed vendors peddling their wares from street stalls and rolling carts laden with tasty culinary delights and Victorian-inspired crafts, clothing, jewelry, holiday decorations and gift items.

An Important Notice from the Resort Manager
In our continuing efforts to better secure the Beach Club and the Sunset Beach Pool Club, we have installed a keyless entry system. This system is designed in a way that all Owners and rental guests have access to our facilities. The access codes will be changed randomly so we can better control the flow of guests and secure the Beach Club and the Baywater Pool. Beginning Saturday, December 15, 2007, all Owners and guests will need to stop by the Reception Desk to obtain the access code.

If you are a homeowner and are working with another rental agency or rent your home on your own, your rental guests will be required to stop by the Reception Desk in order to gain access to the two pool facilities. Once the guests have checked in at the Reception Desk, they will be given the access code(s). The following information must be presented:

  • Name of rental agency and contact information
  • Signed and dated rental contract
  • Address of the rental unit
